"Han sori zu Fir und Liacht"
(Take care of the fireplace and the candle)

Thus was the advice that the night watchman gave to his fellow villagers when he started his round. Besides, it was the main purpose of his duty : fire risks.

Entering the Old Town, after passing the "Gate of France", the receptionists from the Tourist Office welcome you in the "Corps de Grade" building.
 
This pink painted building is located right to the fountain crowned by a statue of the Virgin. You'll find information about Turckheim's wealth, ballads, or entertainment in the surroundings. You'll also find all practical information about your stay.
 
From May to October, in front of this building, you will see the Nightwatchman, every night at 10 p.m.
